As someone once said if it was easy everyone would do it.
After waiting 3+ months to get the A/C I either ordered the wrong model or the supplier wrote it up wrong. I only really discovered this after I threw away the packing material and had the thing up on the roof...no way was that sucker coming back down and going back.
What I wanted was a manual control system with a heat strip. What I got was a thermostat controlled with a heat pump. The problem was discovered when I was looking at the wires that were suppose to connect to the inside control box.
The problem is I needed to run a cat 4 cable to the stat. and the A/C control box needed a
12v supply. When wiring the airstream I did not see this coming so now everything was close up and I had to do some thinking out side the box to accomplish a clean no wire look.
The cat 4 wire was run down the edge of the wall and then covered up by the aluminum trim piece and a little creative wood work to mount the thermostat close by. The
12v was fished and tied into the
12v used for the forward fan . Both can be on and not have an overload.
Finally I had to order a new inside control panel and special thermostat.
Good thing its only time and money.
