What should I do?
A good friend that knows I'm addicted to aluminum brought me a big present yesterday. The serial number is 26-7147. It isn't pretty and is missing almost everything The caps seem to be in perfect condition, just covered with a little paint. The door is trashed as well as most of the windows. I'll try to get some other photos later today. I'm sure everyone will have fun with this. It seems to good to scrap, but to far gone to restore.

She'll polish out with a little elbow grease!
Seriously, I think we've seen worse brought back from the dead. The shell seems intact, and it gives you a chance to build her the way you want.

With a reasonably straight shell it seems like a shame to scrap her out. Certainly would be an endeavour to restore her back.
I'm surprized the shell isn't beat up more than what I see in the photographs.
Regards,
Kevin

If the glass is all there and not broken....the outer body looks good.
You could paint it and fashion the inside as you wish.

I'd rather have that trailer "as is" than a modern SOB...keep it, take your time (and money), and bring her back to respectability. Or the pool house thing.

What's the line...."fools rush in"? Rigs more trashed than that coach have been brought back to life.

Kinda like the stimulas money. You'll pay for it latter. But hey, it's a project. It might keep you out of the bars or drive you to them.

Wally - My 2 cents would be to polish a panel or two to show what it could be and sell it to someone looking for a project, or someone that has a damaged trailer looking for a good shell to restore an otherwise totaled trailer. Proceeds could go into your flying cloud. Watched a rolled, most window glass gone 67 sell on ebay for around $1000, didn't save the auction, thought I had. That could pay for your custom tanks etc.

It's got the number 20 to the left of the front window. Does that mean she is part of a fleet and if so, are 1 through 19 equally as beautiful and available?

Number 20
This AS Overlander has been painted and was one of many that was used for migrant housing during apple harvest etc... I took a few minutes today and stripped the paint and kinda polished one segment. I love all the helpful suggestions.I like Scott's idea that I either find a bunch of windows or someone that has windows and needs metal

If you think you might part it out I could use some window frames...and I'll drive over and help take them out.
