The Rambler Survives Harvey

At two years in on the 64 Overlander restoration project, we were sick to have to evacuate our home just northeast of Corpus Christi and The Rambler in our side yard. Anyone would worry about their home in these circumstances. We had the added dread of losing not just our investment in The Rambler but so much literal sweat equity! Thanks to Mr. G's Norwegian ingenuity and some incredibly good fortune, we returned home to find our Rambler in one piece, no broken windows and no substantial damage. The attached pic shows the tongue strapped to a live oak tree. This same tree pulled partially out of the ground exposing Click image for larger version

ID:	293522the root ball but it held. The rear frame had two straps to trees. Only a small ding and few scratches, as well as a portion of underbelly is damaged. We had just completed installing new glass and glazing before the storm and they were all intact after! Very little water inside too. We are elated, thankful and invigorated to continue our restoration! Prayers please for the folks in Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas and Houston, Texas who have lost so much.
