We need a copy of the 1961 wiring and electrical diagram- if anyone has one please post it. Thanks!
Unless somebody has taken apart their trailer and mapped the wiring, there isn't one. It's almost like they put the wires where they wanted to on that day, and it's different from the Ohio factory to the California factory as well. Is there any one thing you want to know where it should be routed?

You really don't need one. The wiring is simple and straight forward. If you're refurbing the trailer you will want to update the wiring. You can find diagrams for later model trailers. Use that as a referance point for the wiring. You can add or delete circuits as you like. Just make good notes and draw a good diagram when you're done.
Well, our battery stopped charging. So I checked the new power inverter and it seems alright. no fuses blown and the wires are all attached. Next I thought I would check the suspect pigtail and the wiring under the belly pan where it connects to the trailer wiring. What a mess! I purchased a new pigtail and a 7 way wiring box from VTS to keep the wiring connections out of the weather and rule this out as a problem but the wires connect to others not of the same color. So I will post a picture of what I am speaking of.
The second thing that is complicating things is a third set of wires that connect in at the junction. I am thinking these are trailer light wires? The White from the pigtail and trailer attach to the green wires from this third set. I guess my biggest worry is that if I change the wiring to match colors something is not going to work. But this probably needs to happen to straighten the wiring out. Any input on what I'm looking at is greatly appreciated.
Do any of you guys use "hound dog" type tone generators to trace wires? I have the same problem as my trailer seems to have been re-wired ('69, all copper, I'm glad, as I've heard the original had aluminum..). A friend recommended the tone generator as the best affordable way to map out what goes to what so I ordered a Triplett kit for $50. I'm hoping this begins to provide some insight....
