If you want an Overlander

You have to check this one out. 1958 Overlander Its a double door model. If I had a place to park it I would get it myself.

I've been thinking about it...

but really - it is just a gut out (and judging by the pics, I'd probably want to be in full enviro-suit while doing it!). I'm also not sure if that trailer jack (on the BIG rock) is holding up the back or not. Check out those wheel cutouts... ever see an AS with downsloping cutouts? I've seen the 50's triangle shaped ones, but not downsloping. I think there's some rear end separation going on.

Marc,
The vintage photo site has a 58 double door, it has the same cutouts. Maybe they are unique to that body style?

You know....

I think this is the same one...check out those rusted white spoke wheels...can't be that many 2 doors around. So those cutouts are real....

If I only had an other parking spot, I'd jump (it's only about 2hrs from me).

I was thinking the same thing. I has to be, look at the long scratch behind the front door. It is hard to see in the vintage pictures, but if you look at the one with the open doors you can see it. Wow, what are the odds?
