Confused about Overlander Lengths

I have an opportunity to buy a 1961 Overlander that the owner says is 22' long including the tongue. Is there such an animal??? If that length was never manufactured it will save me a 250 mile drive to look at it.

To add to my confusion, I recently sold a '59 Overlander that was 24' long including the tongue. Yes, the VIN did start with a 24 but I understand those numbers do not always reveal the length. In this case, the new buyer and I measured the '59 and it was 24' including the tongue. The VIN # was 24D0170. (This is a ficticional number I made up but contains the same number of alpha and numeric spaces as the real #) Maybe this VIN is not for an Overlander???
I could not find anything on the trailer itself that said it was actually an Overlander, but that is what the DMV title stated. Thanks for your help.

That is confusing... Overlanders were all 26 feet from bumper to ball until 1969 when all the models grew by one foot. The 22 foot Airstreams in 61 were Safari, Flying Cloud and Falcon. Maybe the trailer has the Overlander Trim Level and are not Overlander models. This site has a good listing of the years and models: Vintage Airstream Photo Archives
