I was planning on using a 5 gallon bucket inside the Bath Counter hole....

But I got bored...

Some left over plywood and aluminum...

Oooohhhh... Very nice sir, very nice indeed. I wish I had a bathroom, just so I could do that!

In the cold dark days of winter, it helps to have a project that makes you look forward to the sun...

That may be true, but it's a kind of "trailer trash" that is near and dear to our hearts! Lookin Good!

That sir is not trashy in the slightest!. Love it and now that you've set the bar so darn high ...well, I'm frightened! How the heck am I going to follow this? It's like being the following act to Oprah!

It's too fancy for trash, laundry hamper?

Our original idea was to use that area for a hamper but during the build, we decided to put the hamper into the rear of the dresser. Speaking of Hamper, today it was installed.

The shelves are installed in the pantry. A hinged area gives us a place to store more stuff.

I also fabricated the AVI panel, it's going to hold all of the meters, the antenna/cable connections and the Television connections.

The last item of the day was getting the final aluminum trim strips on the spice holder shelves in the under-sink door.

We both love that spice rack, and the curved door! Your work is wonderful! Too late to incorporate into our trailer, but it certainly gets the conversation going. Cabin fever is setting in ...... Low tonite - minus 15F. Hard to work in the trailer right now. Chris is afraid he'll crack the headliner!

Your work and attention to detail is fantastic. Im thinking you are going to be mighty sad when this is finished. What are you going to do when you have nothing to do. ?

Overlander

We've had two Overlanders a '63 & a '64 The twin bed layout makes for a very good rig. They don't tow much different than a 24' Tradewind. The wife bought one out of south Ohio, as usual we made a quazi vacation out of the retreval. Once we crossed back over in to Oklahoma at Joplin traffic was really rolling on the turnpike. Not wanting to impede the flow the Yukon wasn't having any trouble keeping up, at one point to the tune of 82 MPH. We spent about three or four months cleaning it up. It was the second of two trailers we sold a guy in England. It was the longest one they could put on the road over there. GOOD LUCK!

Today was clear skies and 60 degrees...I installed the last of the cabinet latches. Interior work list is getting shorter.

We picked up the sheet of formica that I re-orderd from Lowes. While there we snagged a cool light fixture and towel racks for the bathroom.

Mrs HiHo decided it was time to polish...the INTERIOR. Instead of a 'polish' we are doing a 'shine'...Truck Toolbox polish from Lowes and a Turtle Wax random polisher. It does remove the etched fingerprints and results in a very nice matt finish. I tried to attach a video but no luck with my Mac's output...

Last little details are coming together.

This project has taken an odd turn...

I spent today working on small stuff, the last piece of countertop laminate is done..

But tonight, Mrs HiHo kicked me out of the camper...

I'm surfing the internet, she is polishing the interior

My side of the story....
Since I couldn't stay home today and play (not lucky like my wonderful husband) I went in to work anticipating a yucky day, and well of course the day is what we make it, right? I was determined I was going to have a rough day and by golly I got it. Needless to say as I was driving home day dreaming that my wonderful husband had washed at least one load of laundry and maybe made me a nice dinner....a thought occured to me...."the night is what you make it". I realized I was actually "dreaming" when it came to the laundry and dinner but I would get home and take off my work clothes and put on my comfortable jammies and work my frustrations of a long, hard day out by polishing the inside front part of Dolly. I had no intentions of sharing my jammie time with anyone, well except Mister HiHo that is. Imagine my surprise when I came in and he shows me a picture he posts of me polishing in my jammies. I'm like seriously? Maybe no one noticed..... Ummmm, nothing gets past you guys......How observant you are, And how tired I am. In closing I will say, not a bad way to end a day. Happy Streamin All.
