Hey Vernon,
Too bad I didn't make it to the Piney Woods Rally to meet you. I know. I missed out. Maybe next time.
I saw this POR 15 clear coat called Glisten PC at the automotive paint store the other day. You might try that as a paint to keep a nice finish without fingerprints on everything.

Thanks for the link Top! That opens some possibilities for the interior AND exterior...

Got the last bath wall riveted in...

Scored a winner at HomeDepot...was lookin for a door stop and saw this cool design...the door mounted portion is a spring loaded plunger, the wall is magnetic.

The brushed finish will look good...taped it to the side of Dolly and snapped a photo or 3

Love the new latch.

I think it will serve well as a coat hook when the door is open. Looks like the interior is coming along. Glad to see one of us is making progress. I am continuing to use your suggestion of keeping a list of things that I can accomplish in the few short light hours of the evening. The weather was raining and cold on Saturday so did not feel like removing the belly pan while laying on the ground. Decided to use my time for a little planning for the future. Decided it would be a good day to brew up a couple new batches. One is a nice Irish Red, the other is a "Belgian Triple" It has over 1lbs of Belgian light candied sugar in it. Looks to finish at about 10%. I will let you know in 2 months.
I figure it will be a good way to celebrate a new floor in the bedroom and bath.

Thanks for sharing your adventure.

It sounds to me like you need to host a rally in, say, a couple of months...

Got the door stopper installed a few days ago but it's too dang dark to snap a photo. I really like it...

I made some progress tonight, actually I consider it a milestone...the ceiling install has began!

How about if I 'pay it forward'?

years ago I was told that the little details matter (rebuilding a race car at the time...)

I'm very happy to suggest that anyone who is riveting, take the time, measure and mark where the rivets go...they make a really nice visual all lined up and even...

Also...think about the metal edges...the visual of where they are is either 1)pleasing (and you don't notice) or 2)somtin' don't look right

BTW...I ain't real good at this stuff...

Thanks for the complements!

A DIY cabinet kit arrived yesterday...cherry planks. Where are the instructions?

Today will be Dolly's coming out party. She's headed out for 4 days at a pal's campground as an aluminum tent!

I found 3 leaks...and didn't mark where they were but it's easy to pinpoint where they are...Layout my sleeping bag...left foot is wet and so is the right side of my pillow...

I made it home with no hint of a problem...no hint, right? An empty Ovelander doesn't weigh much...

1st sign that something wasn't right...the big long skid leading to the flat marathon...

No telling how long the RR tire was locked up but I never felt it.

I think I can plug that leak...

Oh sure, yet another flaming Marathon adventure

Hmnn. Is that three tires affected?

(Cue Andy talking about new loaded axles)

Better than a blow-out, I guess! Leaks are the bane of my existence right now. Hope you can find yours quicker than I've been able to find mine! Looks like you had fun, anyhow...even with the leaks & lock-up!

An old timer used to tell me "boy that tire is FINE, it's only flat on the BOTTOM"

Well this tire is flat in 3 places...

Ya reckon I can get a warranty claim? Here's a hint

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f205...tml#post752958

This Marathon was was a takeoff...low milage, 10 years old!
