Interesting differences between the two build locations. I hope to tow to Padre sometime...maybe we can park side-by-side and compare!

I did make a bit of progress yesterday. The front and rear 'U' channels are tacked in place, the rear is thru bolted and it's banana wraps are installed. If tonight I can complete the front bolts and wraps I should be good to start riveting the shell to the floor...

Crappy photo attached...

Absolutely, would be delighted to park them side-by-side and enjoy the surf! Although, the beaches in your neck of the woods are tough to beat...

Major milestone tonight...The shell has landed. All wiggled into place and the interior supports have been removed. A few spots are clecko'd...rivet time!

It is a bit depressing...the nice belly pan is hidden...what is to show for all of that work?

Looks great, must feel incredible to have that all behind you and have a whole trailer again. Your craftmanship is inspiring!

Thanks for the support ya'll!

I took a day of vacation today...1st thing before it got too hot I drilled and cleco'd the entire perimeter...then in honor of the old girls 1st big step toward reassembly, she got washed for the 1st time since we brought her home.

I am very happy with what emerged from beneath the black and green bio coating

Congratulations - Gotta be a good feeling.
I noticed you said you drilled and clecoed the perimeter. Just curious what percentage of the original rivet holes lined up so you didn't have to re-drill?

Since all of the channels except the front 2 are new, there weren't many holes to line up! The front ones seem to line up, the drill popped right thru but the banana wraps cover the old holes so I'm not sure to be honest.

I'm guessing this may slow the progress on Dolly...

Big-O-Load of cypress fence boards...

Random length...

This summer heat is rough. 3 hours of progress before lunch and Dolly is riveted forward of the wheel wells and a few feet of the curb side behind the wheels. I need some longer rivets for the back corners, 1/4" is not quite long enough for the 4 layers with overlaps.

More money is headed to VTS...and when did insulation become so dang expensive?

It looks like we will convert from mid twin beds to a full size. Now the detail planning starts...where the electrical will route...outlets...battery(s) and tank locations...this is the part that I like!

A few posts back, I looked into a a way of keeping the water from rolling under the rear shell by changing the way the trim is made..

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f109...tml#post979845

I made the final version today...1 for the left, another for the right...this should re direct any leaks into the bumper area versus toward the floor.
