If there's drinkin' involved, how can I get invited? This sounds like a great group to be associated with.

I'm not on the official membership commitee, but after read this thread, I'm pretty sure you only have to meet ONE of the two requirements of memebership:

1. You must own a 1961 Airstream Overlander.

OR

2. You do not own a 1961 Airstream Overlander.

But, like any club, sometimes it's hard to interpret the rules, so we may need a club memeber's meeting, with drinks, of course.

How can a meeting be held that its function is to determine who can attend? I like the drinks being served. I'm in.

I want to be in the club, please. And, I also am in favor of "drinkin", after the power tools have been put away of course! Being Canadian, and beer being the national drink and all, how could I not be.

'61 Bathroom mirror

I just got my '61 Overlander back from the glass shop. I had all the windows replaced with tempered safety glass. Also, I had them replace all the weatherstrips, the one that holds the glass to the window frame, and the weatherstrip between the window frame & body. I had purchased the weatherstrips from Vintage Trailer Supply and they fit and look great. The old weatherstrips and seals had dry rotted and were shrinking.

At the same time, they replaced the bathroom mirror. The old mirror had a stamp on the back on it that reads:
Lenoir Mirror Co.
Lenoir, NC
This mirror has been (can't read) plated by (can't read) process
Jan 16 (not sure about the 6), 1961

Just a little information for the history archives.

Lenoir Mirror Company (Lenoir Mirror Manufacturers of Wholesale and Commercial Mirrors) was founded in 1913 and is still in business. You just never know what's on the backside of some of these items in these 50-year-old Airstreams.

The underside of the bath tub was a bonus...
