'58 Traveler

Notice there are no Airstream nameplates front or rear. There are no rivit holes so they were never there. Is this common? I also like that this trailer has no side doors or extra vents on the roof. I am looking for a front window to eliminate the a/c. I havent seen many with better bodys then this one. however the interior is gutted.

Airstream nameplate

Hello RichardT

My 58 Traveler is also missing it's back nameplate. Never had one. No holes. However I do have one in front. Don't know why the back plate is missing. Maybe a busy day at the factory.

Richard,

Photo of your serial number plate is blurry. Is it 4016? I just acquired a 4014.

Yes it was 4016, but was sold long ago. I wish I had kept that one.

58 A Good Year

Hi my 58 Traveler is number 4148. Yours looks quite different in some ways to mine. Love the clean lines.

How far into the restoration are you into?

Hi bobbygee. Do you still have your traveler? If so, would love to compare notes.

Welcome to the forum! FYI it helps to Quote someone [button below on right] when you are replying to an old post. You could also send him a PM [Private Message] by clicking on his/her user name, and choosing PM from the drop-down menu.

Good luck,

Peter
