Lizardhead Pass Boondocking Rally - June 22-24, 2007

Escape the summer heat in the beautiful Colorado mountains. Lizardhead pass is at 10,200' elevation on Hwy 145 about 12 miles south of Telluride, CO. The highway is very good with some sections of 4-6% grades. The parking area is a dirt and grass meadow on the east side of the highway right at the top of the pass. This boondocking rally will be an opportunity to test your stand alone capabilities. There will be no hookups, no restrooms, no picnic tables, no paved parking pads.

This is a WBCCI members rally.

Bring your mountain bikes as there is the excellent 6 mile Galloping Goose Trail which starts at the pass and the ride is all downhill ending at the Matterhorn campground. We will need to spot a truck or two at the end to bring our bikes back up. Bring some firewood, card tables and chairs. Happy hours every evening. Potluck dinner TBD.

Escape the summer heat, beautiful mountain scenery, good mountain biking or hiking trails, dark skies for good star gazing, Trout Lake about 2 miles north, exciting 4WD roads nearby like Imogene Pass, no camping fee, Telluride Bluegrass Festival June 21-24 only 12 miles away.

Note: Altitude may be a concern if in poor health, there may be a risk of thunderstorms, lightening or hail.

Liability: In consideration of the acceptance of the right to participate; entrants, participants, and spectators, by execution of this registrations form, release and discharge the Four Corners Unit and their officers from any and all known or unknown damages, injuries, or losses, judgments, and/or claims from any cause whatsoever that may be suffered by any participant to his/her person or property, Further, each participant expressly agrees to indemnify all conduct of any participant(s) or spectator(s).
