painting frame, walls, etc.

We've started painting the frame to stop the rust. We're grateful it's in good shape--no repairs are needed. The interior lower skins were removed and I cleaned them with ammonia--that actually worked better than anything. I started priming the upper skins inside and primed the lower skins. They were still stained and not looking good, so we decided to paint . The bathroom plastic fixtures were a light yellow color, but faded and stained. I found that Krylon Fusion paint (especially for plastic) in Buttercream was a perfect match. I think I've painted on 6-7 light coats and it looks brand new. Next it's off to a home store to replace the kitchen counter top and redo the table with formica.
Also on the exterior we discovered that the vent covers are in pretty bad shape, so those will have to be replaced.

Wow, this is ambitious! So then, are you painting the bathtub, sink etc?

Very ambitious, but we are renting a warehouse to work on it, so the monthly bill keeps us motivated. The bathtub is fine--just a few hairline cracks, so no we're not painting that. But the sink/ countertop is all one molded piece and it has covered really well with the Fusion paint.
