This has been done before, but I thought I would document the process for reference sake.
We have all heard the horror stories of the inside door handle breaking off in ones hand helplessly locking the person inside their trailer.
Some of us have done the door pick MOD involving strategical drilling a hole in the door frame and screen door that allows you to “pick” the latching lever allowing you to exit the trailer in the event the door handle does break off in your hand. Here’s...

Picked up the AS from the dealer last week and first thing I noticed a little moisture in the rear compartment. It was definitely less than before so I dried it out (again!) and started checking all the other jooints in the area. I noticed the right tailight had some missing caulk on the side which is very close to where the leak is. I repaired the tailight caulk and we had two days of continuous rain and all is dry. I'm not ready to say it is fixed just yet, but so far so good.

Well, we made it back to Kentucky with the "new" Airstream - new to us! To our knowledge, this trailer went from Texas to Arkansas, to Kansas, to Kentucky in the most recent years.
