Nature Trail

There's always something new to discover at KARS park. The weather had dipped to 50 - the Floridians are all in down parkas, mittens and scarves LOL. So we put on a windbreaker and took a hike through the nature trail. Fabulous!

Florida Air Show

Our first full day at KARS park, they had a flea market. I had dreams of astronaut's wives, rumbling through old boxes in the garage, muttering "what does he want with all this junk!" and finding treasures at the flea market. Well, it was kind of like that. We picked up a couple of knicknacks and headed back to the RV when we saw a Swede talking to Wayne.
As we approached, the Swede explained to us that he was waiting for family to show up at the park and couldn't leave. He had two...

Macon to Merritt Island

The final push. Weather good. Ignored AAA and GPS suggestion to go through Orlando. You can keep your Florida's Turnpike, thank you. I-10 to Jacksonville then I-95 south adds maybe 20 miles and no tolls. Coming across I-10 we were passed by an Airstream who waved hello very enthusiastically. I looked up their WBCCI number and it's Wayne and Belinda from Texas. Hello!
We arrive at KARS park after 6 so there's a guy at the gate. He looks like a retired astronaut. I ask if we need to stop by...
