Water Tank

Posted 10-07-2010 at 12:08 PM by Stork

So I discovered I have a leaking water tank, not sure if it's the fill spout, the drain or the tank itself...But before I begin I just was going to ask for any helpful advice in removing the tank (under the front dinette)

I'm sure someone has a helpful tip or two...

I notice you have an Argosy. If it is like mine the fresh water fill is located on the front left side. It's kind of like a crude funnel with a locking door. On my trailer I thought the tank was leaking. It's not. If you fill the tank and slop any water out of the funnel, it will run down behind the skin and into the belly pan. It takes days for a couple of cups of water to drip out. The other thing is if you run down the road with a full tank, it sloshes up the fill tube and runs in behind the skin as well. Before you start tearing things apart, give it some time to dry out.
