Over the last two weekends I managed to remove the sheet metal from the underside of my trailer I was also chasing down the rear and sag to better diagnose a repair .
I removed the gray water tank and tested for leaks the tank seems fine and is not in anyway brittle so it will be reinstalled. I did notice rusty crossmembers that will need to be replaced.
I also removed all the old fiberglass insulation and noticed that my trailer is one of those trailers who's floor is mounted on 2 x 4 sleepers this will allow me to run some spare electrical conduit to strategic locations within the coach itself . I plan to run one conduit to underneath the gaucho area, one conduit underneath the sink area and one conduit underneath each bed area and terminate all of the conduits in the electrical/wardrobe closet.
I believe the next project I will undertake will be replacement of the axles and shock absorbers. I will replace both axles...one at a time and replace shock absorbers at that time. It seemed to make sense that I wanted to be certain the trailer frame was in good condition prior to investing in improvements in the coach area.
