I just remember the guy with the Acura MDX (4500 lbs) towing a 7300 GVWR AS because Can Am set up his rig. He kept everybody occupied arguing on this forum for weeks and even got nasty with some folks in defense of his setup. And then he drove many thousands of miles without any trouble, he says. While one must believe that he did what he said, I find it hard to believe that he had zero white knuckle experiences during that trip, just as I did with the Jeep. 90% of my driving time with the Jeep and trailer was quite placid once I figured out to stay below 70 mph, but those 10% times of white knuckle made me sell the Jeep immediately on return. Even if Can Am could have set me up safely I would never feel 100% safe because of the weight differential. Once you drive a TV that outweighs the trailer you never go back.
