To Blog or Not to Blog...That is the Question!

Posted 01-22-2009 at 06:54 PM by FLYNCLD

There seems to be a bit of confusion about the difference between blogs and forums. If you have a question, need advice, are looking for something, etc. please refer to the FORUM section of this site. You will then be able to find a topic that best matches your subject and post to the appropriate section.

If you are doing a major restoration, posting your road trip, or other types of things that will be an ongoing project, then a blog is the proper place to do this.

If you post a forum subject to a blog, you will probably get minimal results, plus it kind of plugs up the blogs where people are looking for long-term subjects.

Please post, but please post wisely!

Thanks!

Good information is lost to search function \

When you bolg it....it becomes esoteric and only a specific group of your friends will benefit from your project. I feel that these blogs from the Forums defeat the basic purpose of sharing our info. Blogging from the Forum is a good idea gone bad.

I hope I was clear as I posted to both the blogs and the forum. Blogs are for people interested in long term projects. Forums are for exchanging information. If it is appropriate, post the exchange of info to the correct forum, and the project to the blog.
