Hi, I thought this might be a good place to tell everyone a bit about myself.
My name is Michael Depraida and I'm a full timing Airstreamer.
I've been an Airforums member about 5 years now.
I sold my home and left New York to start my full timing adventure in January 2000.
It's been a blast!
I'm also a working artist. I exhibit my paintings all over the United States and Europe.
Most of my art consists of large oil and acrylic paintings, contemporary abstract in nature.
One thing I like the most about criss-crossing America is how the changing environments reflects itself in my art work.
I have an unusual tow vehicle, which I think of as my rolling garage, it is a Ford E350, 7.3L TD 15' Box truck. In it I keep all my art canvas, paint supplies, large pantry, deep freezer, solar panels and battery bank, 225cc street legal dirt bike, tools and more stuff than I care/can remember.
I create all my paintings outside my 1995 28' Excella. All my Airstream art is created inside my Airstream.
I use a combination of digital, drawing, painting, and photography to complete my work.
The Airstream art and Tee shirts you see here just sort of happened; it's a fun distraction to my large paintings.
I'll use this blog to announce new additions to my Airstream Artwork collection.
You can view my AIRSTREAM Artwork by clickin here: Airstream Art
You can visit my contempory Painting by clickin here:
Abstract paintings
Right now I'm elbow deep in new floor coverings 4 my AS and front rotors for my TV. As soon as I'm finished with the rotors, I'll be leaving TX, for Bozeman and the International.
Later,
Michael
I hope you enjoy my art work.
