Getting Ready for the Maritime Holiday Caravan!
Over the past year I've been collecting promotional information and have purchased a few travel guides for the areas we will be visiting (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI). From what I've read PEI has some good cycling trails and one that really seems interesting to me is near the West Point Lighthouse. Per one of my travel guides this particular bike trail is a continuous cliff-edge ride along the ocean, going passed harbors and quaint villages. So I've decided this is one of the activities we will pursue while we are attending the 2008 R1R. I don't believe our little fold up "Yeah" bikes will be good enough for any distance riding so I've gone ahead and purchased a couple of inexpensive "cruiser" bikes for Leon and I. With seven speeds and 26" wheels I think they will provide us with a comfortable ride. Mine is the pink one.

I saw the pink bike and was sure that it wasn't Leon's. We'll see you in PEI. We're leaving on the 5th. to rondexvous with Rich Walbridge's R1Caravan via the Gaspe' then down the New Brunswick coast to the Federation Bridge. CharlieE
