Posted 03-02-2011 at 06:40 PM by michelle50

so, got alot of scrubbing done over the school break- now on to bigger things. Anyone know of a good product to use on rust stains in the bathroom-tub, shelving, sink? I have tried HLC and RustAway..no luck..plastic surface..still looks better than it did though.

Also, most people rarely ever respond to blog entries. I would recommend starting a new thread of your own under 69 Tradewind.

I've had great luck with Magic Erasers. I've used them on most everything inside the Airstream. They are cheap and effective.

thanks so much for the advice..I am not the most tech-savvy, so "threads", "blogs", and "posts" are rather foreign! I'll get the hang of it one of these years

Cleaning up bath plastic sink, tub, counter etc

We cleaned our up with Purple Power, rinsed well and painted ( followed instructions ) with a product intended for fiberglass or plastic tubs etc. Worked great. Have doe 3 now with no regrets at all. Very durable and it flexes with the tubs flexing and the water. On our last project we used HOMAX and its available at Lowes.

THAT PURPLE STUFF, PURPLE POWER or similar. From Walmart or auto parts store. The yellowed age and stains just puddle up and wipe off. Best stuff ever. Really cleans the tub and counter top in an OLD Airstream.
