Need some advice original versus custom

Posted 12-02-2018 at 02:38 PM by Scooter2104

I'm looking for different perspectives. We just bought a 97 Excella 1000 that is 100% original. Is there value in keeping it original, or should we do updates/upgrades and not be concerned with "original" condition?

I've always thought that updates/upgrades done in a tasteful manner do wonders for an Airstream. Considering your is a 1997, as opposed to say a 1957 model, I think your safe.
We full time in a 2001 (purchased by us in 2012) style-wise, we updated many visual features and only a few mechanical ones. (faucet fixtures, vent fans, electronics, etc...)
