Need help

Hi there I'm pretty new to this so please bare with me if I sound completely clueless My dad just gave me the trailer hes been holding onto for ten years and it needs work but i'm willing to put in the time. OK so my question is I need to get this camper to San Diego, He is letting me have his chevy S-10 to tow it with Am I gonna be able to tow it with that ? the hitch has a diffrent side bar thingy that goes onto a special hitch onto the truck. not sure what I need to pull this with.. Please any suggestions would help... Thank you.

    Those side things are for stablization. You should have two of them on each side. I had them on my trailer but have removed them. It seems to be over kill to me. What lenght is your trailer, how does the hitch clamp seem, is the trailer towable. how is the suspension or axle. lots of questions.

    A S-10 is way too light duty to safely pull a trailer with~
    Plse, consider renting a truck of the right size.

    Those stablizer bars are there for a purpose and I can tell you from experience, you need them. If you ever get passed by a big rig and your trailer starts to sway, you will wish you had those bars on your hitch. S-10 to small.

    i think you should try pulling it out with the same weight applied on your truck. the s10 is alot lighter so maybe find another substitute for it.
