The good, the bad and the ugly

Yesterday, we continued dismantling the interior floor. The good news is our trailer doesn't have the separation problem some do, but the bad news is that the back end wood was so rotten, it wasn't really attached to anything. We got most of the wood out of the back and braced the shell. We don't have the space to remove the whole shell and set it aside. We are planning to lift it using jacks while we work on it section by section. Next step is to bend a few new pieces of channel and start replacing insulation/plywood. Checked the trailer lights and one is out, so we'll fix that wire.
I also worked on the exterior gaskets around the windows. Old gaskets are scraped off--I'm guessing the windows were a big source of leakage around the edges of the interior. I think the gaskets were never changed. I also need to polish up the window sills. Any ideas on what product will work well for removing the corrosion in the window tracks?

I used my handy dandy dremmel...the lightest sanding wheel I had...it did leave marks in the aluminum, but everything old was gone and the new stuff sticks great...oh wait, just looked that you wanted the corrosion cleaned off inside the track. Sorry, the dremmel advice was for the gunk left from the old gaskets...

Lots of work ahead of ya but all doable. Do you plan on adding a grey tank?
