Hi the community;
I am bruno from France ( brunoffrance...) and the happy owner of an Overlander 27' from '71.
The blog -story was made to tell the uncommon story about our Airstream from USA to France, step by step in 2002.
After that I've tried to tell stories with this new toy and other american toys came in my life.
After the caravan , it was the pick-up truck to tow it, then an Harley-davidson, then travels in USA, my wedding in USA....
I try to post interesting subjects on what it's passion for my wife and I, with lot of pictures and comments ... from me.
hope you ll read it with great pleasure.

New step: new bathroom...
Posted 06-22-2009 at 01:41 AM by brunoffrance
After the new water heater, now mounted, I' ve decided , this year to do something for the bathroom... Sure, the old bath and the wash bassin have the genuine color awy and , even with a good cleaning and maintenance, they no more look great.
The idea for a low cost is: to paint them... but not with classi paint that 'ld gone away as the water arrive but the new resin paint that becam very strong whan dry and have the appearence of enameled porcelein.
the choice of color: simply white.
Two coats and the brillant finishing one and now all is really great and clean... finally what a good solution and just all is dry before make a test with water ( the water heater not tested too).
The test: ONE leak on the cold water inlet of the WH and now, the wash bassin faucet leaks too.... GRRRRRR one more time.
never easy to do something right in a vintage trailer... Hopefully we don't know that before buying ... 'cause I wonder if we 'll go for that or , may be, we know that but we want to take the risk , just for the good moment , this travel trailer, gives us when all is in order....
NB: the leaks are over, now... but with lot of works and wasted time.... but it's the rule !
Next saturday: we go to the campground... for 2 monthes.... eh eh !!!
