Look at payload capacity as noted on the sticker on the jamb of the driver-side door. Then subtract the weight of all occupants and cargo in the Subaru when loaded up for camping. The lesser of what’s left and what the hitch receiver says for the maximum hitch capacity is what you can hang on the receiver.
