Airstream crazy?!

Here we go again! Walter found another Airstream last month. He can't resist the shiny aluminum glistening in the sun...it turns his head, and he gets the itch to do another overhaul. He stopped and asked if it was for sale - and the young gal who owned it was reluctant to sell, but she didn't have the time or funds to tackle a renovation anytime soon. It's condition is good enough on the exterior, but needs a complete renovation on the interior - which is fine by us, since we are not personally...

First Day of Summer!

Today was the perfect day to work on The Breeze! Being the longest day of the year with clear skies, and a perfect 24 degrees celsius, we had an opportunity to cram in as much exterior work as possible before it gets too hot to touch.

The entrance door weather seal was a disgusting mess of brittle black gasket & yellowed contact cement that was smeared far too generously than it should have been. Absolutely Horrible!
The owner who had affixed such a mess should...

Two Day Work Blitz!

We have been very fortunate to have good friends with a wide driveway, where we can park the 1963 Overlander while it receives the attention it so deserves... After hauling it from Vancouver Island - where we purchased it - all the way to the Okanagan Valley, we can now use our days off to attack the long list of things that need to be finished. The previous owner had accomplished a great deal, but plumbing and electrical always have their quirks, don't they? So glad that we can have the choice...
