Last of the "before" pics. Im not promising or anything

Amazing these tanks remained attached to the triler for the ride from MS to NC. The remaining metal holding the tank covers was about 1/16 in thick

You can see daylight between the subfloor and the shel on the rear. The c-channel is shot. The frame sag results in approximately 1 inch sag at the rear. I can just barely make out the mildest bukle in the main frame rails just behing the axels. We will see what the welders have to say about that. *Please dont tell me...

New pics of wear and tear, rear end sag, lack of maintenance

Some of the outriggers appear to be in good shape (mostly in fornt of the axles). Others have major rust damage.

The start of the renovation

So I thought I would start my blog with "before" pictures and pictures of the damage to the old girl. It will be nice to see the process in chronological order and maybe it will help others with similar problems if my pictures are good quality! Here is the first picture I saw of her. On the side of a highway in Mississippi!

AS newbie jumps in neck deep

So I am now among the ranks of AS owners that have a long road ahead of them to finish the dream. I have wanted an Airtstream for years until a relative called about a month ago with the message "I just passed a cheap airstream for sale on the side of the road." Well, 1 month later I have a 1974 International Land Yacht 31' with two twins and a rear bath.
