making some progress..

So,its been a hectic few weeks. All in all, fairly productive. The new frame is finished, transfer of body onto the new frame, floor in, Door fixed,
windows in, and now the belly plan is being attached with insulation.
Been quite a learning process, but been great to watch it come to life.
Once the new frame, and axle were finished, we were able to prop up the old body, cut up the old rusted frame and move it, then roll the new frame underneath and slowly lower it down....

Been a busy week. All of the inside panels,except the caps are off, insulation is out and now the outside is polished, and last bit of cleaning on the inside panels.
I've polished the inside endcaps now too. I wanted to see how they would turn out. Pretty pleases with it except i think there was some sort of acid etching so the paint would stay on. I cant get it to buff out even using the f10.
We had the old window and window frames from a 1959 flying cloud , So I installed those...

stripping the inside

I've spent the past couple of days using a pressure washer and getting the pain on the inside peeled away slowly.
I think today I can start some polishing on the inside and a little on the outside.

I found a good deal on a restoration project recently and here we go.

Had it for two days no and towed it 150 miles to where it will sit for the next few months, being stripped apart ,polished, re wired, rustproofed, and for the most part..ready to roll. Eventually. I work for a guy here in Texas who restores airstreams. Im excited to learn even more as I go and have the eyes of a master watch over as I do everything.
Took the floor out and the frame's got a little rust....
