Wheel well

Posted 07-20-2011 at 05:56 PM by chrischarles

Where the plastic wheel well meets the frame on the exterior the sealant is worn out and is in need of repair. What is the correct sealant or caulking to use. I have a 31 foot Airstream if that matters.

Swirl marks or No swirl marks? Which one lasts the longest?

Posted 05-11-2011 at 07:15 PM by chrischarles

I recently have polished out our 31 foot wonder and am going to go over it and polish it again. Does anyone know if the shine lasts about the same with either swirl or no swirl marks? Or is it like asking how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop. I am hoping the world does know.

Windows on our 31 foot wonder

Posted 04-03-2011 at 06:02 PM by chrischarles

Our 31 foot travel trailer has the original windows with the original seal (the rubber seal that is on the inside of the frame) still installed. It appears that several are torn and it looks very difficult to replace account of having to disassemble the windwow.
Is there a easier more reliable way to correct the problem other than having to replace each window?

Out with the old.

Posted 03-15-2011 at 08:05 PM by chrischarles

This week has gone well so far removed the old BROKEN aftermarket awning. When we purchased the trailer the large awning was missing and the mechanical parts were either corroded beyond repair, missing, or just broken. After numerous phone calls trying to find replacement parts and before I go any further NO this wasn't a Zip Dee awning. Now that it is off I am getting excited about purchasing a new awning and yes it will be a Zip Dee.
