Local Weather Geek is forecasting a change in the weather - Thank You, G-D - and just might be saving my sanity. The below zero nonsense has tested my good humor -

For the first winter of full-timing, I'd like to request a little 'break' and it looks like I'm getting it. 40s, 50s, and 60s look to be headed our way. I feel the urge to pull out a grill - in fact, that's the plan. Large steaks, big salad, baked sweet potato - that's the agenda -

Once Daddy had the 'travel-bug' (which he probably inherited from our Viking Ancestry) - the trips, be they long or short, were endless.

I grew up as an only child - the product of a aeronautical engineer and a school teacher. My father was a tad 'mad scientist'.......

Dad decided that his only child needed to experience 'camping'. Our first trip was in a Chevy Station Wagon, with camping supplies, mattresses, cooking gear......didn't take Mom long to declare that sleeping on the bank of the Black River wasn't then or never would be her 'cup of tea'......that first night was spent in a rather miserable situation...
