2021 Basecamp20x heater odor

I just got my first travel trailer, a 2021 Basecamp 20X. I have no reference for what is normal operation, so here is my question. The heater has very low air volume out of all 3 vents so it seems to take a while to heat up the trailer in even in 45-50 degree weather. It also has a strong burning plastic odor that I assumed was just something that will dissipate??? I’ve only tried it about 2 times of any length. Anyone with a new Basecamp that can offer any advise?
