Proper RV maintenance, planning travel routes around major cities, and visiting busy locations during off peak times can all reduce stress and risk. However, despite all the planning and preparation you've done, some things just happen. A roadside emergency is one of those things that can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at...

Honda EU2200i and Genconnex Kit

The Project:

As a child did you ever take something apart just to see how it worked? This statement is very true for me. I often took things apart to explore their inner workings. This childhood curiosity never left me and as an adult I love a good disassemble/reassemble project. I've taken our Airstream apart down to the shell, sometimes just out of this childhood curiosity. Learning to take things apart as a child was easy. Learning to put them back together to their functional...

Dinosaur Electronics UIB-64

If you own a Airstream or any RV for that matter with an Atwood water heater and or Atwood furnace then you should keep one of these Dinosaur Ignitor Boards in your spare parts kit. This Ignitor board will replace the ignition board in either your propane water heater or propane furnace. This could potentially be a trip saver. Being small, light weight, and easy to swap out while on the road it makes for a perfect part to keep in your tool kit. Made in the USA with heavy duty circuits and the weather/dust...

Replacing the Factory seat cushion foam for Firmer.

Posted 08-31-2019 at 01:08 PM by GMFL
Updated 08-31-2019 at 03:54 PM by GMFL

Well I finally replace my factory seat foam with firmer Lux-HQ foam from Foam Factory www.foambymail.com. Purchased a FULL sheet of their premium LUX -HQ. https://www.foambymail.com/LHQ/lux-h...lity-foam.html
It arrived via FedEx a couple of days later in a vacuum bag rolled inside a box. They recommended open the bag immediately allowing the foam to expand for 24-48 hours to get to full size before working with it. I did this project by myself and it only took 2 1/2 hours start to finish!...

30 amp SmartPlug install

Posted 08-28-2019 at 10:44 AM by GMFL
Updated 08-28-2019 at 11:49 AM by GMFL

Recently got my hands on a 30 amp SmartPlug connector and Inlet Kit (B30ASSY-NT) and a SmartPlug Double Coax Data Port (BDCOAXCC)
These items will replace my OEM Furrion power and Cable inlets.
Man I gotta tell you.... If weight has anything to do with Quality these NEW SmartPlug Inlets are IT!
HEAVY and SOLID! Not weak springs or rattling covers here. Positive locking retention of the cover with a satisfying “CLICK” when closed is what you’ve got here. To boot the all Marine...
