    The Chassis

I saw a 1976 Excella 500 posted on E Bay located in Sumter SC. less that $2000.00. My truck will not pull it. Maybe you should check it out.

    The Chassis

How in the world were you able to tow it home without it falling apart on you? I have my eye on a 1958 with frame problems like yours had. However I am scared that once I buy it and have someone tow it home to Dillon it will break up in pieces.

Not fun. I know what you mean! The frame has a lot of hidden spots lol.

Sorry about that. These photos are taken with a MacBook and are negative reversed. Left is really right, and vice-versa.

I was wondering why/how you were going to have the steps and door on the street side?

    New chassis

I had to have someone to fabricate a new one. The old frame was rusted to bits all over. The A-frame was salvaged from the old trailer.
The main rails, cross-members and outriggers are all from the same material, so that made it a lot simpler.

    Thanks!

Did you have someone rebuild another chassis from the same year/model or was this the original one that came out rebuilt? Very nice either way!

    Frame off

Daniel in the 6th pic numbered photo 31 I can see the 2 outriggers with the angle iron welded on. That is where the cord & hose reel platform is attached. I hope this helps you figure out how to put everything back together. It's always difficult when you take over a project mid stream and don't know what the PO has done.
