    Martyís 2019 23FB Lift

Ronnie, where did you find the Dexter's PDF layout of the bolt hole spacing? I have been searching Dexter's website and have not found this document.

15K AC upgrade and proper AC drip cup install done

    Hi GMFL'
    Great job and great DOCUMENTATION!!
I am preparing to swap out my old Coleman 13.5 for a new 15K Coleman and add the drip cups and was wondering about the 2 gaskets. The drip cup instructions also state to squish the 2 gaskets down to the size of 1 gasket for the Coleman.
Sure appreciate you providing the pictures.

Replacing the Factory seat cushion foam for Firmer.

Very interesting. Did you find this made the seats easier to sit on for extended periods of time?

We have not been overly happy with our cushions either so changing out the foam might be a good option.

    Thanks for the post

    Cheers
    Doug

    30 amp SmartPlug install

Nice Ronnie. On my 23FB I cut the interior skin, on the 23d I left the back cover off like you said. Love the Smartplug.

GMFL can you tell what tinting combination you used. I see on the web site the clear gray bronze and white and the different VLT percentages. Curious what you used and the results. Thanks. Rick

May just need to flip the switch assembly over in the wall. Then put cover on correct. Maybe you just mounted the switches back in the wall upside down?

Well this is a new one. I thought I had switched the wires and indeed I changed them back again as you suggested. Still work backward.

I removed switch and tested it and it will only work backward ie Up off. down On.

I guess I can just flip the switch over and make new holes through the switch plate.

    Makes no sense.

    Any ideas. Dave

Thank you. A picture is a great idea. Thought I had it all correct and then all of a sudden messed up.

    Your wires are flipped
    Left electric
    Red over white

    Middle fail light
    Blue over white

    Right gas
    Red over orange

Figure out which wire is the “hot” (12+) and that wire goes on the bottom post of the switch.
P.S. Rule #1.... don’t unplug a bunch of stuff without first taking a photo.

In preparing to do this upgrade I had disconnected all six wires. After re-connecting them both switches act backwards. On position is off and visa versa.

I have not wired in the led's untill I figure this out.

My current wiring is Elec on left white stripe/over red.
    Middel Blue/white

Right switch (gas) red top.over red stripe

Any ideas. Don't have much hair left to pull out.

    Thanks, Dave

15K AC upgrade and proper AC drip cup install done

    Ron,
    Sorry I missed this question.
This was a direct swap out for my 13.5K unit. I used the thermostat was already mounted in the wall.
The unit could either be operated with a wall mounted thermostat or manual controls on the air distribution box.
Dometic sells two different air distribution boxes based on your needs.

    Why Do We Camp?

We camp for the reasons posted above, but also for a change of pace, new surrounding and just what's out there. I like to see how other people solve various camping challenges as will as neat improvements. Since going solar, lithium and compost, we rarely stay on campgrounds until arriving at our destination. That alone brings up all kinds of discussion on ways to do it. Probably our only regret in the 50 years of camping is not starting sooner before the kids were 5 and 8 years old. Why? Probably for the same reason a lot do not. A young family with lots of responsibilities. Up on looking back, I can see with ingenuity that did not have to be a game stopper. Oh well!
    nothing like hid sight.

    Peter,
No need to glue, the LED bezel locks everything in place. I did add a little silicone to where the wires come through the cover justto prevent vibration.
I did replace the spade connectors with new one and re- heatshrinked them.
