ZipDee Screen Room Installed!

My ZipDee screen room (actually called the Tropic Room) just arrived and I'm planning to install it my self on our 2001 19' Bambi with SipDee awning. Does anyone have experience installing one of these? Was it difficult? Are there any tips or "gotcha's" you can share?

It looks as if no one has done their own istallation of the ZipDee screen room so I will try to post results after I install ours in the next few weeks.

We would like to install one to so I am anxious to see how you do. By the way how pricey are they and from whom did you purchase?

They are pricy! We bought ours directly from ZipDee -- their price was at least as good as any dealers we checked with. For a screen room to go on our 2001 Bambi 19' (about a 10' awning) the price was $813.00.

OUCH!

Wonder what they'd want for a 25' unit....I tremble at the thought.

The prices didn't seem to vary much as the size went up -- they all seemed to be under $850 -- still expensive though!

ZipDee Screen Room Installed

I installed the ZipDee screen room (Tropic Room) this morning. I took me about 2 hours, and probably 1/3 of that was reading/rereading instructions to make sure I didn't drill unnecessary holes. It went pretty smooth. The directions looked confusing at first, but once I started I just took it one step at a time and before I knew it it was all up. The only tools needed were a tape measure, a drill, 5/16 and 9/64 drill bits, a pop rivit tool, and a hammer. Putting it up and taking it down once its installed looks like a 10-15 minute job. Maybe slightly longer folding 3 pannels and 2 skirts when taking it down.

Do you have any pictures of the Tropic room installed.

Also, great work on your generator.
