Description: Hanna park is owned and operated by the city of Jacksonville, FL. Located on the Atlantic just south of Mayport Naval Air Station the park consists of 450 acres of beach access, bike trails, hiking trails, a 60 acre freshwater lake and nearly 300 campsites.

The campsites are fairly well separated and each is surrounded with heavy vegetation - there is a good sense of privacy in most of the sites, but for satellite users, don't expect a signal thru the canopy of spanish moss.

Each site offers full hookups and many are pull-thrus. The lake is a short walk from most campsites, but access to the beach requires a short drive or bike ride to the other side of the park. Many of the bike and hiking trails run near and thru the campground.

The bath houses are clean and well equipped, there are laundry facilities available, as well as a well stocked general store and snack bar located inside the campground.

Pros:
Cons:

I have camped in this park many times and find it a good park. Some of the sites can be tricky getting into due to the trees, but if you can back up reasonable well you should have no problem. You can drive, bike or walk (15-20 mins) to the ocean to watch the sunrise if you are an early riser. Just a short drive to super mkts and some good restaurants and there are RV dealers close by for general parts.

Pros: Lots of open space, Lots of trees
Cons: Too Many Farrel Cats . Hundreds of cats

Love this park except that is is over run by Farrel cats and the Camp Hosts feed them which makes them Multiply.
If you like the outdoors you will love this park but you better like cats.
