Great amenities. Best showers of any park we've been to. Full hookups on most sites. Very close to downtown Savannah. We actually had to drive thru "old town" Savannah to get to the island. Lovely drive. Camp Staff was very attentive. Had a bad 30 amp outlet on power pole when we arrived. Staff changed it out in minutes--yes minutes!. Only about 300 yards to the beach. Lots of FAMILY oriented things to do on the island.
A couple of things some may consider negatives. This is an "in town" campground, but the town only has 3000 residents. Some of the sites backup to a lightly used city street which can be kinda noisy. Didn't bother us. Some sites could use more shade.
Would you recommend the campground? Yes |

Forgot to mention Price. Depends on the time of year. We paid $55 per night for "mid-season" rates last week. Prices are a bit higher in peak season and a bit lower in off season. Open all year 'round.
