Description:

Great views from this gem of a state park, located about 25 miles south of Anniston. Plenty of room in the sites, and lots of pull-through spaces. We arrived on November 11th, right after a tremendous rainfall the evening before. There were several waterfalls beautifully flowing. The sites have full-hookup capability, and outstanding hiking very nearby. About $21 per night, either upper or lower campground would be a good place to stay. It fills up on the weekend, so be sure and book a reservation.
Talladega is just down the road. The drive through the mountains here is reminiscent of New Mexico in some places--which surprised us. We could see for 100+ miles in all directions from the "Boardwalk". Hooray for Alabama and one great camping experience!
