Description: Located just North of Dallas in Lewisville Texas. Conveniently located near Denton, Dallas, Texas Motor Speedway. Can be reached from Exit 457 Northbound on I 35 or Exit 458 when Southbound.

The Campgound offers spacious paved sites with electrical and water hookups but no sewer. There is a central dump facility accessible from either side of your rig. Television reception (using our roof antenna) from nearby Dallas, Ft Worth and Denton was good. No cable and no Wi-Fi.

You can choose to camp on the shores of Lake Lewisville or nestle into a shady spot in the woods or if you have trouble maneuvering arounfd trees, a clear spot close to the lake. Each site has a picnic table, barbecue grill and fire ring. There is a lantern hanging rod located at one end of the picnic table.

A playground for younger children and a few easy hiking trails for older ones help burn off youthful energy. There is a Movie theatre within 3 miles and lots of restaurants nearby, too. Camping WOrld is just up the road a piece on I 35.

The campground is open year round and has 124 RV sites, and 10 primitive sites. There are four bath houses and one concrete boat ramp with parking for boat trailers. Campsites are $10 -$20 depending on amenities. You can use Reserve America (see Link) to reserve on line and pick the spot you want. Odd numbered spots from 9 -23, 43-53 will have a lake view. Only 7 pull through spaces with all the rest back in. We managed to get in OK to the back in during a pitch black dark and rainy night. I owe my wife bigtime for standing out there in the rain with a flashlight to make sure I stayed on the pad.

The main feature I do not like about this park is that the gate closes after 10:00 PM. There is an automated gate that will let you out after then, but if you plan to go out honky tonking, you will have to park your car at the gate and trek in to your site after 10:00 PM. Then enjoy a morning stroll back out to get your car once the gate opens.

This is my favorite place to camp in the North Dallas area. It is scenic, clean, safe, you get plenty of room, and it is conveniently located and low cost per night for what you get.
