Description: Nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, at an elevation of 3000 feet, Virginia Highland Haven is a unique park exclusively for Airstreamers. $25 per night. Close to Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Roanoke the park lies in Southwest Virginia’s beautiful Floyd County between I-81 and the famed Blue Ridge Parkway and spreads across seventy-five acres of beautiful hilly terrain with open meadows, hiking trails, fruit trees and a waterfall. These features combined with the parks elevation contribute to an unbelievable hideaway from spring through fall with warm days, cool nights, and ideal sleeping conditions. Marvelous views and spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed without mosquitoes and other pesky insects. Hummingbirds come to visit daily while deer and wild turkeys are easily sighted throughout most of the season.

Pros: Great area of Virginia friendly people
Cons:

Great place to get away from the summer heat. Open from May 1st till October 15th. Just off of the Blue Ridge parkway.

Pros: Quiet, beautiful surrounding, friendly
Cons: none to mention

Ditto what "Honest Abe" said. Wife and I have stayed there in the past and found the CG to be well kept with nice amenities and the friendliest AS owners anywhere.

Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: None Come To Mind

We stayed at this Airstream Park for a week in early October of 2006 and just recently again for the last week of August, 2009. The park is secluded and the sunsets are wonderful and the nights star filled. The residents are also very friendly and make you feel right at home with the fabled Southern Hospitality.

There are lots to do and things to see within easy drives from the park. We hiked and drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway, visited Chateau Morrisette Winery where we bought 2 cases of wine, Biked the New River Trail, Saw the National D-Day Memorial, visited Thomas Jefferson's "vacation home" Poplar Forest, toured Appomattox Court House, saw a Civil War era "shot tower", visited Foster Falls Iron Furnace, and still had time for rest and relaxation at the park.

We will be sure to be back again soon.

Pros: Well kept grounds and facility. Very nice people.
Cons: No cable TV

Very quiet and comfortable setting. Nearby Floyd, VA is charming. Countryside is beautiful. WiFi signal very strong. Sites are flat and easy to back into. Our first visit was August 2011 for two nights. We plan to return soon.

Pros: Seclusion, Blue Ridge Parkway, Floyd, Mountain Air
Cons: Seclusion (for some folks)

Linda and I were invited to HH for our first Rally with our Unit. What a way to start your Airstream Adventures! Spoils you for most other camps you'll ever make. Use HH as your basecamp for exploring the Blue Ridge of Virginia and beyond. We'll go back whenever we can. Click the link following to see me sitting by the AS with an adult beverage. Ah.h.h.h.h
