Description:

Curry Hammock is one of the newest members of the Florida State Park System (2nd year of operation). It is located just north of Marathon in the Florida Keys (mm 57).
The park is relatively small (28 +/- sites) but very well laid out. Most sites have an unobstructed view of the ocean. Unfortunately there are few trees in the campground area (non-natives were removed during development) so your AC will be working hard most days.
There are kayak/canoe rentals and fishing/swimming areas. As you are close to Marathon, groceries, supplies easy to come by.
At present Curry Hammock is not open in Hurricane Season and difficult to get into on short notice.
An excellent state park. A solid 9/10
