Description: Perhaps one of the most scenically located state parks in the U.S., Dead Horse Point has beautiful, improved sites with 20 amp electric, but no water or sewer.
Utah?s Grand Canyon - Dead Horse Point State Park may be Utah's most spectacular state park. Towering 2,000 feet directly above the Colorado River, the mesa that is Dead Horse Point provides breathtaking views of the canyon country of southeastern Utah and the pinnacles and buttes of Canyonlands National Park.

Located about 45 minutes northwest of Moab, you will find Deadhorse in the epicenter of a hiking, biking, Jeeping, rafting Mecca.

Water is limited at Dead Horse Point, so fill your holding tank prior to arrival. Nearest services, including fuel and drinking water are 35 miles away.

Pros: Lovely campsites in an area of stunning beauty and limitless outdoor recreation
Cons: No water. Make sure your freshwater holding tank is full before you leave the highway

Pros:
Cons:

We too would highly recommend this place. Nice campsites with enclosed storage areas at each for all your stuff! Moab is a premier 4WD and ATV area.

Pros: Unbelievable scenery
Cons: Bring your own water

We stayed here in 2007 and loved it. It is nicely located to see Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and the scenery is really amazing. There are some great trails in the park and a nice visitor's center. Our site was small but fine. The bathrooms were flush toilets but no showers.
