Platform Bed... With Added Gray Water Tank

Description: I love rounded corners. Built here to accommodate a full size bed. The top platform is not on in this picture, but overhangs the front by about 8 inches. I used high gloss laminates and I wanted air/heat to get under to the tanks so I fabricated the front 4 panels with cool aluminum screening. The main purpose was to lighten the weight of the plywood with the cutouts, but serves as ventilation as well. Under the platform will be hanging bins in the grid for additional storage. The entire support grid can be easily unscrewed in the event I ever have to remove the tank. I have the platform done as well, but not shown here installed. IKEA 4-3/4" mattress which I have to go on top. Lightweight and comfortable, as I have slept on it many times.
