Critter Prevention - Well, Sort Of..
Critter Prevention - Well, Sort Of..
Description The cutouts for the plumbing, tanks, valves, etc, were allowing critters in to the body of the trailer or at least a good place for them to hide. So, I made gaskets out of shower pan liner (very tough stuff and lasts nearly forever) and fitted them around the valves and such to create a seal from the tank areas below. I cut 1/2" vinyl strips from some old horizontal blinds and screwed them down to hold the gaskets in place. I can easily remove them if necessary. It worked out pretty well. It won't stop chewing critters, but lizards and bugs aren't getting through!

New Connectors For Blk And Gry Tanks...
Description Seen here is the dry fit of the new plumbing. Much easier to work with and if I ever have to remove it... as they say in Latin, "Pro Noblem!" I will make a rubber gasket to seal the 1/4" gap around the opening to prevent critters and water from coming in.

Battery Box
Battery Box
Description The ABS battery box was trashed and I wanted to have more than one battery, so I removed it and built an riveted in an aluminum "Sally Port" to connect to a battery box I built. This port allows plenty of ventilation and drains off any water that may get in. It will have a piece of aluminum screen on the battery box end to keep critters out.
