CLIPPER PRODUCTION
The "Airstream 36" was Airstream's entry into the large Class A, diesel pusher on a raised rail chassis, for 1995. With the refinement of this "work-in-progress", came the CLIPPER which was badged to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Airstream Company in 1996. A total of 25 units of the Airstream 36' model were produced, with probably the last 10 (7 confirmed) decked out and badged as Clippers for the 65th anniversary promotion. Airstream then withdrew from this 'raised rail' class until they introduced the 390 models for the 2000 model year.
The limited run 'Land Yacht CLIPPER' was the ultimate in cruising luxury available at this point of the RV industry cycle. |
