Well,
The Basher is sold.
Sarah and Donald from SC spent last night in it where we did the deal in GA.
Here is a link to their First moring after.

Congradulations Brett
From the look of your pictures, I'm sure they will enjoy their new "home away from home". Are you getting something as a replacement? Good luck to all!. Leigh

Wow!
Sarah and Donald look much better than I do on the "morning after".
Beautiful MH, I'm sure they will be happy with it.

We sold the 1976 because we could not keep 2 28 foot motorhomes. We have a 1978 28 Argosy that we bought three months ago in Wa.
To get the whole story check out these threads (And if you think you are nuts, you can use this a guide to check for yourself)
The beginning
The Middle
The saga continues
So Leigh, we do have something to "replace" the 1976, but we still will miss it.

The Basher is home and we are in love! We hardly want to sleep in the house, it is so comfortable in the Argosy motorhome (though we are going to call it a "coach", like Brett, because it sounds so fashionable.
By the way, if Brett and Edie are ever selling anything else...we're buying it! They spent hours going over the entire Argosy, so we weren't left with any "what does this switch do" kind of problems. And they have a great dog!
Much thanks for this forum, we'll be learning more here every day...

Congrats on your new purchase Brett. I'm sure you will give her the same care your gave your previous MH. Have you had to make any repairs since you picked up the other 28' unit?

We had major repairs before we even got the MH home!
Look at the links in Brett's second post to this thread dated 9/14/03.

Thanks Edie,
I've been away from the forum for awhile and was behind 575 posts. I did not follow the links at first so that I could catch up a little faster and missed the "whole story". Wow. Between working in the garden, volunteering my Friday evenings driving a bus for the local high school band (daughter plays trumpet) and developing new training programs where I work, I have been busy. I replaced outer wheelbearings/races in all 4 axles, regreased last week and then sent one of my 40# aluminum tanks out for a new OPD valve. I noticed a slight leak on my folding table not long ago and realized this evening that the outer pane in one of my streetside vistaviews has a crack in it. Now that will be an expensive proposition.

Now we will find out if it was just Brett's driving that caused the barrel incident that resulted in the 'Basher' nickname! I have a hunch that Sarah and Donald will avoid the bright orange barrels with their new/old coach! A new name will be required!
Congrats on the transaction to all and many happy miles ahead!
Don't venture far from the Forums as the assistance here is invaluable.

We managed not to hit any orange barrels (so maybe it was Brett), but overhead clearance is going to be a learning process at our place, which has a lot of limb overhangs!
As for a new name, we're thinking either Barbarella or Bessie, depending on her mood...
