My mistake, just checked with hubbub, the skinny black wire is the circuit board, so no worries. Black board wire to white and red to black!

We just removed the belly pan from our 66 Caravelle. I believe the diagram is missing a piece. I think the belly pan actually is bent over the J bar of the frame, thus, you can't just pull it out...
