Apparently replacing the axle will depend on whether there are leaf springs or a torsion axle now. And I don't have the answer to that.

1960 Tradewind Owners

I just purchased a Trade Wind and have discovered that it originally had hydraulic brakes.

Please tell me how you converted so that the trailer is safe and legal to tow.
